 The Source of the Nile is located in Jinja, Uganda, where Lake Victoria, the world's second-largest freshwater lake, flows into the Victoria Nile, which then continues northward to become the White Nile. This point marks the beginning of the Nile River’s epic 6,650 km (4,130 mi) journey north through several countries before emptying into the Mediterranean Sea in Egypt.
